Teeth Whitening
In recent years, a number of over-the-counter dental teeth whitening aids have come on the market, claiming to be able to whiten your teeth just as well as you can at the dental office. At the store you will see numerous over-the-counter whitening toothpastes, strips, rinses and gels. However, there are drawbacks to their use. These products are much less potent than prescription strength materials used in our dental office and the results are rarely satisfying.

The powerful whitening products used by our staff here at Fort Worth Dental are far more effective than the over-the-counter teeth whitening aids found in the local stores. Our techniques allow us to offer the most predictable way to see lustrous results in the fastest time. Some of our procedures are done in the office and some are at home. We would be happy to see which type of teeth whitening is best for you! Make an appointment today!!

In our office we offer two different options for teeth whitening:

Tray-Based Teeth Whitening in Fort Worth, TX

Our staff will often treat our patients for at-home teeth whitening, using custom-made bleaching trays, which are similar in appearance to a thin mouth guard, and a special teeth whitening gel that is a very potent peroxide whitening solution put in the teeth whitening tray. This way the teeth whitening procedure can be done at home, at your convenience, and requires no additional appointments or procedures.

Patients are instructed to wear their bleaching trays for four to six hours each day (some patients choose to wear them at night, while they sleep), for at least four weeks. However, your doctor and his staff will customize your length of wear based on the degree of discoloration of your teeth and your goals regarding your desired level of teeth whitening.

In-Office Teeth Whitening in Fort Worth, TX

This method of teeth whitening is, easily, the fastest way to accomplish teeth whitening. Often, it only requires one visit, depending on your chosen goal for teeth whitening. Multiple visits may be required to reach the desired results for those who want significant teeth whitening. Teeth whitening visits last about 30-60 minutes. In a very controlled fashion, the whitening agent is applied directly to the teeth, focusing on the darkest areas. Often, we intensify the action of the peroxide-based whitening agent by using it in combination with a special light or laser, which speeds up the teeth whitening process. Dramatic results are often seen right away!
