A Natural Solution

Dental implants are so effective because they are made from material that biologically bonds with living bone. There is no rejection by the body, as with tissue transplants such as heart, lung, or kidney.

The implant is placed by a surgical incision either into or over the bone. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in our dental office. New bone tissue immediately begins its bonding process, growing securely around the implant. During the process, temporary teeth can be provided so that you never have to appear without teeth. Permanent replacement teeth are then created and secured to the implant posts.

There are two basic types of implants: those placed directly into bone and those that rest on top of bone. The amount and location of available bone determines the type used. There are almost as many treatment options as there are individuals with dental problems.
